this is genuinely like, a legit question:
but like, for the ppl who voted for kamala, why?
like, genuine question, i would like to hear why you personally voted for her
and also why you think it's so bad that trump's president now, bc imo, i don't really see much of a reason why it's a bad thing??
ofc i'm just one person, but i'm just curious and would like to know :) -
Kamala said she was going to protect reproductive rights (read: not forced women who were r#ped give birth), protect gay marriage (as that should be a right already), and open up trans healthcare, among other things.
Where Trump is a convicted felon, is facing two charges currently, is a major bigot, is planning on banning gay marriage by force of arrest, and will pull a full ban on ab#rtion (even in the case of children who are graped).
It's because women's rights, queer rights, and POC rights are now on the line due to Trump. -
He's locked America in an alt-right policy and this doesn't just effect America. This poorly effects every other country, because America is so large and wide-span.
Me, as a queer woman, know that my rights to marry any girlfriend I may have or have the right for full healthcare if I'm r#ped are entirely stripped with him as president and I couldn't be any more scared. If I get r#ped, like so many others in this country do every single day, I'll be forced to give birth to a r#pists baby before I even attend college.
THAT's why so many were hoping on Harris, because at the very least, our rights to bodily autonomy, marriage to our consenting adult partners, and to be happy in our skin, are ENTIRELY stripped from us.
Which is why I'm gonna probably be a Sweden or Norway girl after I graduate because at least there I'll be okay. -
Listen not to be too dramatic but if Trump is in charge there's a chance my rights are taken away
Ik project 2025 is so crazy that it's stupid and no one thinks it's gonna happen but if there's a chance it could happen, helllllll no.
I don't want a man who thinks people like me are freaks (and ALieNs) being one of the people able to pass laws about me.
The only things I've heard about Kamala are the @bortion stuff and rumours that are straight up wrong
Also her vice president is chill from what I've seen lmao -
Felons shouldn't be president anyway, he still has an active r#pe charge against him.
Also, I heard that he's already trying to set up a purge of some kind, so if that helps. -
Yippie, I love having my rights on the line /s
-
I love how there was a women's health thing in a court with NO WOMEN IN IT
And that shows ya just how much America cares about women's voices -
Not only would queer people potentially have their rights taken, but women potentially too. BIG no-no
-

I misworded this, our rights are stripped by Trump. Harris said she was going to protect these rights. -

EXACTLY! THIS!! -
But, hey, it's okay chat. Our rights won't go away without protests and fighting. We're gonna fight for women, queer, and POC rights like it's 1960 and probably even harder!!
This is gonna be a rough couple years, but at the very least, Trump can't go again after this. And he might just croak halfway through to old age -
Oh, yes, sources
Trump's policies
he 2024 Republican platform vowed to cut federal funds for schools that teach about race and gender, bar transgender women from women’s sports teams and deport international students who voiced support for Palestinians.
Trump could accomplish many of those promises in his next administration — even without Congress.
Trump supports the overturn of Roe vs. Wade
What I did is something — for 52 years they’ve been trying to get Roe v. Wade into the states. And through the genius and heart and strength of six Supreme Court justices, we were able to do that,” Trump said during the Sept. 10 debate with Vice President Kamala Harris in Philadelphia.
This does talk about the protection of r#pe victims, though, however...
Project 2025 -
He says he "doesn't support Project 2025" but I honestly wouldn't put it behind him because it would expand his power.
-
I don't give a f--- what my mom says anymore. I'm protesting and fighting until I die for my rights.
-
not to mention what he's going to do to schooling systems. honestly, I think the votes were faked. think about it.
he just oh so conveniently gets elected president? right in time for his project 2025? that's a lil sus
