This is my views thread!
Here, I will talk about my views of things, political or current events. I will provide articles to back up my findings and why I think the way I do.
If you want to argue a point, please inform me gently. I'm sensitive enough as is and genuine fights cause panic. We can talk things out civilly, calmly, and kindly!

Oxfam -
Trump won the election this morning.
Now, to all the women, POC, and queer people on this site, listen up. We won't quit fighting for our rights. Our rights are ours to fight for. We'll fight like it's 1960 again. Protest, give money to charities, raise awareness, do whatever you can to make sure that the next four years (or less, if you plan on leaving America like I will in two years) aren't going down without a fight. -
We won't let the orange felon take our rights without a fight.

You can donate to Palestine and Arabs online with arab.org without using your own money! You can click into any of the six categories (children, Palestine, poverty, refugees, women, and environment) and click on the button that says something like "Click to help". The click itself will provide a donation that is not of your own if you cannot spare the money or if you are otherwise unable. However, if you are able, please do donate!!!
In spirit of post-election, I will also say that the Trevor Project has ways to contact them! There's a phone number to call and text, as well as an online chat. Right now, it's under a long wait time due to the election; if you're in emergency, call 911. If you need a faster time, then text 988! -
If you also have time and moey, please donate to Oxfam (link a little bit up)
It's my personal favorite non-profit and it helps so many people and issues!
Things Oxfam covers:
- Gender equality (women, genderqueer and trans ppl, etc)!
- Humanitarian issues in Yemen, Congo, Palestine, and Ukraine!
- Race equality!
- Climate change studies and solutions!
And a few others! -
Oxfam is also going to be making regular fights against Tr*mp and his inequality. You can put your phone number or email, name, state, and zip code to get regular emails/texts about what they're doing to fight this if you want, but it is so far from required!
