China is not as democratic as countries such as Australia or England, so things like minion movies and TikTok being banned would make sense. But with all the supposed threats that China has made, I suppose you can never be too careful. Remember, this ban is only on government issued devices (so far), so it doesn't really affect anyone who doesn't work for governments.
