I live in Oregon. A lot of people here have major problems with California because their problems effect us too and also there's a lot of cultural differences that can be frustrating for locals.
Specifically noise pollution and personal space etiquette is very different between the states. Immigration between states is also tumultuous at best.
I think it's hard to judge the state as an outside though because you really don't get what it's like living there and what's driving the machine unless you're there.
Every state has serious problems that they should be fixing. Complaining about other states doesn't really do anything. I feel like I can't criticize California too much when my state is experiencing their own major housing and drug crisis. -

I searched this up, and I all I'm seeing is the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which is the opposite of what you are describing, and provides legal protection to infants born after a failed abortion. The only thing I'm seeing similar to this is the Infanticide Act, which treated a mother killing their baby in the first months of their life less of a crime than murder. Can you please site where you saw this? Cause I'm curious about it now, as I have not heard anything about this yet.

I think they're referring to something known as "post birth abortion" which is literally infanticide, it's revolting
