I admit I don't follow the US presidential race that hard (not even in usa anymore as dad needed a way out of the military during the US involvement in iraq) but this seems like a bad plan. They will be destroying a large source of income for the regions (for after isis is destroyed, if it is destroyed) and having western troops on the ground is never a popular idea in these countries, infidels go away.
So if isis is destroyed with this plan the us will be taking one of the most valuable resources in the region and having us troops never makes people happy. -
