So I'm an American, and many of those who are reading this are American. I do love my country and would want to live anywhere else, but right now it is pretty f---ed up place. I could list any number of reasons why that is the case, but I think the fact that people view a homophobic piece of s--- like Kim Davis as a hero is a pretty scathing indictment of us as a people. Or the fact that the leading presidential candidate is a race-baiting blowhard. Or that Planned Parenthood has been defunded in two states over a couple of videos that are pure bulls--- at its finest, leaving underprivileged women in those states without access to cancer screenings, contraception, prenatal care, and yes, abortion.
Turns out America is only the greatest country on Earth if you're a straight white male with money. Everyone else is just a second-class citizen. Welcome to the United States of Hate. This country makes me wanna vomit. -
