Thread Topic: Is it too much?

Does anyone else ever think that maybe the US is too big of a place and too diverse to be run by one group and it would be better off to divide into smaller groups of like minded people?
-
Possibly, or maybe people should just move into states according to the way they think and act, and the closer to the border to another state you are the more neutral you are, or the more mixed you are. The assignation process would take a lot of people and a lot of consideration, though.

The Swedish Geek NoviceIt already has a somewhat local form of government in each state.
-
But still under the central government
-
Honestly, I feel that it would be more manageable if it was broken down into separate countries
-
^isn't that what states are for?
-
And again I repeat. They're still under the central government
-
States are there to break down power away from the central government. In my honest opinion, I don't think it works, I think it actually f---s everything up and complicates things to a ginormous factor. Things like education, speed limits, traffic signs, taxes, and plenty more, are varying state to state. Yeah the central government sets a base to almost everything and then lets the states build from their, but I think it's quiet backwards. I think either the central government should set one uniform law across the bored that all states should abide by, not building off of, or the power should be broken up and states/regions become their own country.
-
And yet across the globe, governments have reformed into unions because they couldnt keep up with us using the state system we use.
Lol what complications are you talking about exactly? Do you have examples of f--- ups that our federal/state government is responsible for? -
Well I'm just saying that the US is big and diverse and its hard to come to conclusions with everyone from different places having different views.
-
Its charity on the part of people with the correct ideas to keep the nation united in order to protect those whose ideas would get them into situations they couldn't handle from themselves
