I'm really happy about this, I know it doesn't mean that LGBT people won't face any discrimination, people will still judge/be bitter but it's still a huge step-being in a same sex relationship with someone 2+ years this is just amazing. We always thought Marriage for us would never be an option-it's just great.

Oklahoma doesn't allow atheists to marry (religious people) so good for you m9.
But seriously, this is fantastic news.
Wait, are you s---ing me? -
Glad you feel this way! It's great to hear how many people this is positively affecting, it's just great.
-
Im just happy to move on to the next thing that doesnt really matter to fixate on

I think it's a good thing. who am i to judge? who are YOU to judge? it is SOOO not our place (or the governments place) to judge anybody. black people, gay people, anybody. somewhere i heard that they werent allowing it at first because then more people would decide to be gay. Yes, because after black people gained their rights a whole bunch of not blacks went and got black just because they could (sarcasticly). RIGHT.

Can you cite any scientific data to suggest sexual orientation is inherint?
-
What data could that be?
-
You tell me. I'm not working under the assumption that it is inherint
-
I'm not sure such data would exist. How could science study this? seeing as there is no gene that determines a persons orientation (that I'm aware of)
-
I don't know of any such thing either. Paigequizzy was trying to make it seem ridiculous that more people would decide to be gay, once gay marriage was legal given (she implies) that it is inherint in people.
My point in asking for data on that is that it's not ridiculous at all. -
Oh I see. It seems to be socially unacceptable to even suggest that people would choose to be gay, so it's not an idea that most people would even think possible.
-
Which is dumb because some of America's core principals are based on the freedom of choice.
It really should be irrelevant. But people lack the courage of their convictions so instead of standing up to people and saying they have the right to chose, they take responsibility out of their hands and say they cat help it -
Whether or not they choose shouldn't bar them from marriage in my opinion.
-
That's what I just said....
Not that the right to marry is really significant anyway
