The anti-immigration types in general just come off as really terrible people. All they do is appear to fear and racism and the worst parts of who we are as Americans. It was disappointing that during the week of Independence Day a group of anti-immigration protesters in CA hurled insults and intimidated a bus full of children of Central America, most of whom came here to be reunited with their parents. Yes, I get the objection to people being in our country illegally, but so many of the fears regarding these people seem racist and irrational. Huppenthal is just the latest in a long line of people using lies to dehumanize those here illegally and capitalize on the racism and fear of Americans.
