tongue ExperiencedYou guys know the Bush tax cuts, right? They expire at the end of the year. Obama is trying to get Congress to make the tax cuts permanent- for everyone. Not just for the 90% of Americans making under $250K a year, but on the rich too. The reason it hasn't passed is because Obama's own party, which still has an overwhelming majority until January, doesn't want to extend the tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans. So Obama is now governing FROM THE RIGHT! It's infuriating but also kind of hilarious.
What you need to know about the Bush tax cuts is that they disproportionately favor the rich. It really wouldn't be worth it to fight to keep to tax breaks for middle class and poor Americans even- they really aren't going to pay much more.
I'm annoyed for a couple reasons. First, we need to take the deficit seriously. You know how Greece collapsed because they received toxic loans? That could be us- one bad Chinese loan and it'll be chaos in the streets. Letting the tax cuts expire on the wealthy would help to reduce the deficit alot. Second, an opportunity to get back to a more fair, progressive tax system, which has been chipped away at for 50 years by Democratic and Republican presidents alike, has been squandered completely.

I f---ing hate politics.....

I think it's funny because he completely flip-flopped. That was one of his big things he saying on the campaign trail too. It seems like politicians will say almost anything to get elected and then do whatever the hell they want once they're in power. He'll probably only be a one term president.
And what doesn't make sense is he's going to to do one of two things. His first option is to cut out all the pork, special interest programs, and the wasteful amount of government spending. Then use the money to start paying off the debt. Or he could higher taxes and end up causing havok on the American people.
Wall Street and the U.S. government are both corrupt and will fail you. Invest in small businesses and the hard working American people. -
You shouldn't invest in small businesses they'll all having a f--- of a hard time and more than a few are closing down.
-
But new innovations and creations can be made from small businesses. The freedom Americans have had has allowed us to progress. If Bill Gates gave up on his plans and dreams and just worked at Wal-mart things would be a lot different. I see your point but it doesn't mean things won't get better.
But I've lost faith completely in the American government and economy. Our freedom will only last so long until the government is in everyone's business, telling us what to eat, what to think, what to say, what to watch, ect. I can honestly see this country heading towards communism and/or one world government. Or at least the attempt to do so. -
I have uncles who own businesses and one was saying how if he had started his when in the past year or so he'd have be screwed. s--- even like blockbusters are getting hurt by s--- like redbox and everything.
-
Yeah, I'm working on building a small business where I live, fashion and interior design with mainly an international style. But before I jump straight in I'm doing a lot of research and making a strong plan. It probably won't start running for a least a year and a half.

xD I wanna make a wood fire pizza place with part of it a bar my sister could run. All food would be vegetarian but awesome, it'd be hard to have it that way cause some people wouldn't wanna try it so I just wouldn't advertise it as being vegetarian for awhile lol and I'd have a large selection of beer for a good price cause that seriously gets people coming out.
-
That sounds awesome and actually really unique. Especially if you make several different vegetarian recipes it could really open that up and give people who don't know much about it an oppertunity to learn more and eat really good food. My parents want to own a small goat farm and take care of all our animals really well. I think in the summer we'd shave their fur and make yarn out of it. I was completely against the idea of hurting an animal for it's fur but it'd probably be a relief from the heat in the summer and they'd be healthy and happy. And I plan on making clothing like sweaters out of it.

Ya I'd have all the main stuff like pepperoni and crap but it would be vegetarian instead the only differnce is it would taste a little different without all the grease. My sister as a wedding gift is getting a home out in the country and she plans to have chickens and stuff which she of course won't kill. My uncle has alpackas he plans to shave and have the fur made into something, apperently alpacka fur is good.
-
Yeah that's funny there's an alpacka farm nearby and they do the same thing. I got a scarf from there and it's very soft and warm ^^. The people who run it are really nice. I'm actually really happy my dad wants to have a farm because animals seem to always like him and he's dealing with ptsd and medical problems from being in the army. It will be a nice change and hopefully he won't be as depressed.

Hopefully but you never know out of the blue he might just blow his brains out. =(
-
*sigh* I really hope not. He's been hanging on so long and I really hope he does get better. My parents are both very devout Christians and they clearly really believe and understand it, but honestly I think God's the reason my dad hasn't blown his brains out. I've even heard him say he wishes he could just fall off the roof but he loves me and my mom and brother too much to leave us. And he wants to serve God as best he can on earth (by helping and loving others).
I really am sorry for the way I may have acted to you the past few days or so. I am totally tolerant and accept your beliefs it's just been really stressful here and I'm just trying to cling on and support my family. I think I've just been hypersensitive. -
Oh well np. I guess you gotta go now so see ya.

Yeah, good night see ya later
