Whenever someone comes out in support of the Constitution, limited government, state rights, gun rights and free market in America, we are demonized into racists, sexists, homophobes, evil hate mongers, or crazy messed up idiots. The fact of the matter is, the majority of us simply want freedom and people as a society to come together to do things rationally. I'm not ashamed to say I am for these things, and that I'm not a bad person. I want to help as many people as I can in life, and do it in a way that produces growth and success.
I have no bitter feelings or hatred toward liberals or people who don't think like me. I just wish I could have the same respect given in return. .3. -
I have conservative and libertarian friends, and I'm nearly the opposite of them (we just don't talk politics). I honestly don't mind what political belief you hold, as long as it has good intent (as in not racist, sexist, homophobic etc.).
I can see the good intent behind the whole free market thing, I just don't agree with it. (Also the same for ideas like banning abortions and having more religion in society, I disagree but understand. Economics is [are?] just usually the area where I focus though) My disagreement doesn't mean I have to disrespect people who simply hold the opposite view and don't shove it down everyone's throat. -

Well that's because you're awesome, Appay. I respect you a lot even where we disagree. I understand the good intent as well. I just wanted to make clear that not everyone is like that, just some ignorant people. e.e I've seen people get death threats and hatred because of their beliefs in general, it's horrible.

squatter NoviceWe are lucky if you think of what is happening in North Korea or Pakistan! In North Korea you are executed if you even say a sentance about any anti-government thing. It is just mad! They arn't even aloud to watch foriegn TV or go out of there country for a holiday! I think we are lucky that we even get to talk about government!
