Thread Topic: Thread for myself. :D
-
@Infinity you can ask.
-
Infinity NoviceHow many times should you forgive someone? What do you think?
-
Depends on what they did and how close you were.
-
Infinity NoviceWhat if they try to change and they fail at it?
-
I know you're talking about a certain situation, and not to be pushy, but can you just explain it not so vaguely?
-
Infinity NoviceOk, Uh, well, hm. I me mi me mi me mo. *whistles* Wait.
You see, well someone in my family is trying to give up on alcolhol. I don't know if they are drinking, but I doubt it. I don't know how much to trust them. I don't want to get hurt, emotionally. -
If they say they're going to stop, help the, through it. You have to be confident in them that they'll succeed because they're more likely to if they have support.
-
*help them
-
Infinity NoviceThey go through classes, But I don't want to leave them alone alot. Trust issues, I know. We're all watching and reminding them of what will happen if they do drink, again.
-
My entire family is composed of alcoholics.
Just go over to whoever in your family's house and see if they have any bottles of boose. Talk to them about it.
Other than that, Infinity, there is nothing you can do. Interventions are more of a tv thing. -
Well they're going to feel pressured and stressed if you keep remaining them which may cause them to turn to alcohol.
-
Infinity NoviceYay, that, and We're Mexicans. We don't believe in interventions.
-
Just go with the goddamn flow.
Unless they're wasted 24/7, just leave them the hell alone -
Infinity NoviceOkay, @Teresa. Thanks. I don't talk about this other than with family. I'm pretty sure most of my friends would turn or look at me differently if they knew. I trust you with this, you seem trusting. Thanks.
@Hunter, thanks for that comment. I'm not that open with this stuff.
I GTG. Thanks. -
You're welcome. And bye.
