Giovanni approached Ivan, heaving. His fists were clenched again.

"Gio, stop." Ivan said.

He sneered and struck him once more. "Aw, you want me to stop.."

Ivan couldn't take this much longer. Sooner or later he would slip back into that heartless mold that he'd been in for such a long time. He struck Gio across the face with the barrel of the pistol he held.

The strike was enough to make his nose crack and blood run down from it. Bu Gio did nothing but laugh like a complete psycho. "So that's all."

"I'm not going to kill you," Ivan said, glaring at Gio.

"It's the best thing you can do," he said, licking the blood as it came to his lips. "And yet you can't do it."

Ivan shook his head. "I won't kill you. I could if I wanted to. But I don't want to. So I won't kill you."

"You're really pathetic you know," he continued, his head cocking to one side. "Letting a pathetic boy fall in love in you, then following in to becoming a sissy. Can't even shoot the problem. You've made me sick."

Ivan's jaw clenched. "Stop it, Giovanni."

"Why should I?" he asked slowly.

"Because. I don't want to hurt you."

"I'm asking you to, smartass."
