"Any luck?" Jasper inquired quietly as Elle came back from searching the grounds.

"No," Elle grumbled irritably. She kicked the trunk of a tree as she walked by. "Where the hell is she?"

I stay behind the wall of the building, not tking my eyes off of the two killers in front of me. It was a miracle that they hadn't seen me yet.

"Are you sure you checked everywhere?" His resolve wasn't very changed. "She couldn't have gotten too far."

"Why don't you go search for her this time, lazy ass?" Elle got tired with Jasper's quiet attitude sometimes.

I almost laugh, but I hold it down as I watch the two argue.

He gave a slight smile and nodded, walking forward to go search.

"And search good!" Elle yells at his retreating form.

I duck back behind the wall, hoping she dosn't come over to look.

"Of course." He walks around to check the outer perimeter of the building.

I go and lay down on a nearby bench. I see movement and sit up, my eyes searching.

I stay quiet, and wrap my hand around the handle of the knife in my pocket.
