Soulie NewbieI lied back, tried from the kill I had today. I closed my eyes a bit, making sure not to fall asleep.

She tried to focus on reading, but her eyelids started drooping and, well, in a few minutes she was almost completely asleep.

Soulie NewbieI woke to a sound. It sounded like hush voices talking outside my cabin. I strained to hear.
"-and then we run for it, alright?"
"Got it, but what if it doesn't work..?"
"It will work! Understand? We've been waiting so long for this chance, Timmy, if we blow it-"
"Yeah, yeah. I know! If we blow it we'll be a disgrace to the family and blah blah blah, let's just get it over with." Said the one who I guessed was Timmy. -
She dreamt of the victims that had been murdered. But she was in their place, instead. To a normal person, they'd be nightmares. To her, they could possibly give clues that she wouldn't see when she was awake.

I quietly reached for my knife.

I grabbed it and got up, careful not to make a sound on the weak floorboards. -
