  Cancer, leukemia, etc. My charrie would be the sick one. I was thinking something like a broken family that hadn't been in touch for years until all of a sudden they're forced to visit their father over the summer. They find out the underlying reason later on. I guess this kind of resembles The Last Song, but it's mostly focused on the father and the children.
