Only One NewbieWhile riding the bus home today there happened to be a cat in the road. No cars were comming and it was almost across when a truck came from out of nowhere and ran over it's head. It's paws twitced for a few seconds and then it was dead. And you wanna know what my bus mates did?
They laughed.
I just couldn't believe it. They had just seen another living being die and they were laughing. I turned to the guy next to me, who was also laughing, and asked him why. He said "'Cause it's funny." I then asked him if he would react the same way when a human got it's head blown to smithereens by a truck. He said "No, because it's got loved one's waiting for it."
And who's to say the cat didn't? For all everyone knew, it could've been a mother. Maybe even a father. Or, maybe it was finding it's way back home to it's caretakers.
What I witnessed today was third degree murder, and yet the driver of that truck will not be punished simply because what he ran over wasn't a human being. -
WTF!!! I HATE THEM FOR DOING THAT!!! SEEING SOMETHING DIE ISN'T FUNNY!!! NOT AT ALL!!!!!!!! X goes mad and quickly changes into wolf form and leaves to kill them X I BET THEY WOULD CRY ON THE LAST SECOND OF THEIR LIFE

No animal should be purposely killed until they're in pain and suffering. We call that mercy killing. I'm offended because have kitties that I love more than anything and I'd kill any b------ that hurts them.

I hate humans. They think they are the superior race and, in a sense they are, but, why do they think death is funny? If that was a human they'd be screaming and crying and flipping out. The truck driver would pull over and call someone, and might be charged with third degree murder as you mentioned. That cat was just trying to survive, trying to get home, whatever. People don't have proper respect for animals because people believe they're lower than them. But we would be no where without them. So f---ed up. Next time I saw those kids i'd probably put them in front of a truck, thats is f---ed up to but thats what they deserve
