Through her window, Emily saw her boyfriend, Chris getting into his car. She decided to go outside and tell him good morning. "So sad that you don't go to the same school as me, then you'd have the day off."

"Yeah, I miss you babe." He kissed her goodbye. "Whatcha going to do?"

She sighed once again, and walked past the bus stop. She hated moving here, and the walk was so far from her new house.

"Hmm...maybe borrow Mom's car and go into town. I need new sneakers anyway. Anyways have a good day,"she said, kissing him on the cheek.

"Okay, you too." He smiled and then started pulling out of the driveway. He started toward the school, and after a mile or two he saw a girl his age walking. She's probably going to school too, though she looks new. Maybe I could stop to help her. He slowed his driving, and rolled down the window. "Hey, um, Miss. Do you need a ride to school?" He asked, hoping he didn't seem like a creeper.

"Uh..." She paused, thinking. "Sure."

He nodded and smiled, the door unlocked for her. "I'm Chris, I'm going their as well. Are you new here?"

"Yeah.. I'm Auralee." I opened the passenger seat door and slid in. I closed it, making sure it was closed.

Emily asked her mother about borrowing the old Volkswagen Bug that had been lying around the garage for ages.
"Sure honey, go for it."her mother said. -
"Nice to meet you. How do you like it here so far?" He asked curiously, starting back down to school.

"Its nice..." I lied, smiling.

"Yeah, sometimes a little quiet and boring though." He admitted with a smile as well. "Where did you come from?"

"Canada."

She stopped at Famous Footwear and bought some Adidas.
