May said, "i know you dont want to hear it but i think you should give Thomas a chance to explain i gave Dare that chance and i believe i understand now and even after it all he said he wanted me to think about forgiving him and then told me to go find you and take his coach home and he would walk and thats a far walk"
Dare heard a russle of leaves far off behind him and just continued walking almost home -

Lilli looked at May. "What happened between them?"
Thomas closed his eyes, distressed at the pain he'd caused Lilli. -
May explained everything Dare had said and then said, "and thats why they did the bet and i sort of understand"
Dare continued walking -
Lilli thought for a moment. "I have to find Thomas, and apologize."
Thomas felt tears roll down his face. -
May saw Dare outside of the coach, "theres Dare"
Dare saw a coach roll up beside him and then stop then he noticed it was the girls -
Lilli said nothing as Dare climbed inside.
Thomas got up to get some water. -
May asked Dare, "do you know where Thomas would be right now??"
Dare took a guess, "he is either at home or still running there" -
"Can we go there?"
Thomas drained three glasses of water before setting down the glass. -
May told the driver to go to Thomas' house and told Lilli, "we will get this all fixed Lilli i promise"
Dare wondered why the girls had let him in the coach and why they were going to Thomas' house. -
Lilli played with the sash on her dress.

Dare asked allowed, "whats going on??"
May explained the conclution the both of the girls had came to and explained why Lilli needed to find Thomas -
Lilli continued to play with her sash, glancing out the window to see if they were close.

The coach pulled up at Thomas' house and May asked Lilli, "do you want me to go with you??"
Dare waited patiently as the girls debated what to do -
"If you would just come inside..."
Thomas heard someone pull up in a coach. "At this hour...?"
