I watch carefully. "What are you doing?"

i turn around "Ah! Marshal! dont scare me like that!" i say

"you can laugh" i mutter as i ask for game. I get a few birds and a jack rabbit.

"ok , anyone for dinner!" i say holding up the game. I roasted it on a spit.

I sit down and lean against Jackpot's legs.

"Yummm" i say looking at the meat then i turn to the marshal "So...do you still have that criminal? or is he in the slammer now?"

I take a big bite and hand some over to jessie. "yea same question here"

"The one who killed one of your fathers?" She gestured to both girls. "I do not remember which one of you it was."

I look at Jessie. "So it was your father he killed?"
