Annie's eyes darted from the girl to the zombie to the blood. She lowered her gun slightly. "What's your full name, age, and gender?"

Adam fell down on grasses,zombies were nearby,so he had to take more care.

"Lauren Holmes, age thirteen, and I sure hope you don't think I'm male."

Annie lowered her gun. "Sorry, 'bout that. It's one of the best ways to check if you're still sane. Zombies would've forgotten simple stuff like that."

"Oh." She frowned.

"Yeah." She slipped the gun into her belt and held out her hand. "I'm Annie Endurson, nice to meet you, Lauren."

With a simple handgun,Adam did not stand a chance.Zombies were approaching,he could hear them.

Lauren shook Annie's hand.

"So, you on your own?"

"Yeah. Are you?"

Adam headed down the alley,leading to street.

Annie shrugged. "Pretty much, I just left this old warehouse I'd been living in to find supplies."

"I don't exactly have a place to live... May I come back with you?" She asked, knowing Annie would probably say no.

Annie looked at the dead zombie behind her. "You seem like you know how to handle yourself, you might be helpful."
