Nox had several reasons to stay in his current form. Enemies, followers, ect. But at the same time, he wanted to stretch a bit and a fight or two would be good for him.

Nox shrugged and stretched. His skin stretched and tore. Massive black wings stretched off to either side of him and a long black tail slid out from under him. his skin formed into plates of armor. Teeth formed out of the armor and faces and eyes formed in the swirls of dark steel that he wore.

Abruptly, the two young girls were stopped in their tracks. By that legendary town Bloodsucker, who no one should fhawk with. 'Well, looks like you b----es were in the wrong place,at the wrong time.' he sneered. -
Nox spotted a person in the back of the room load a rifle and aim it at him. Faster than normal people could see, Nox kicked his wings back and launched his massive body towards the assassin. He rolled as the gunman fired and came up infront of the man, pinning him to the ceiling with a massive black sword.
