Marla crept up to the window to peer in she hadn't heard anymore screaming for a moment. She saw inside a huge wolf with a rider and the winged lady had one of the other orphans and was holding a knife to her throat.

"Sky!"she yelled in happiness.
She lept over the 60ft wall and landed nimbly by the hellhound.
Alex snarled.
"This isn't your fight Mother!"She spat out the last word."Back away and leave or Sky gets killed."
Selena quietly backed away. -

Now Marla could see another person had arrived and there was definitely some differences between the first lady and the wolf rider and new comer. Maybe Marla wouldn't have to try anything herself she could just give up the poisoned scalpel to someone else and they could kill the winged lady.
