I grinned. "You think so? An old friend of mine has owned this shop ever since the early 1800s."
-
"Absolutely." I examined the outer architectural design.
-
I opened the small door, a bell jingling as the hinge moved. "Bonjour, Pierre," I called through the shop. After some rustling and clanking, a small man stepped out of the back kitchen, his clothing dotted with flour.
-
I looked at the small man curiously. What was back there?
-
"Ah, hello, Cole," he said with a heavy French accent. "And this friend of yours, she is the lovely Rebekah you have told me so much about?"
I grinned. "Yes, she is." -
I blushed, smiling. Aww... that's so sweet of Cole.
-
"Well? Don't just stand there, boy. An introduction is in order."
"Ah, oh, right. Sorry," I smiled apologetically. "Rebekah, this is my lifelong friend, Pierre Broussard," I said. -
"Hi." I said quietly, waving.
-
Listen to 'I Will Possess Your Heart' by Death Cab For Cutie. I want to know your opinion. It takes a while for the intro, he real singing starts at around four minutes in.
Pierre smiled. "Hello. I have never seen Cole so content before you came along. He can't stop talking about you. It is like listening to a petite school girl ramble on about her first crush," he chuckled heartily.
I had to admit, I was a bit embarrassed. -
Okay.
I smiled, still blushing. "Really?" -
"Oh, oui oui! Rebekah this, Rebekah that..." He made talking gestures with his hands. "It is all he talks about!"
I looked down at my feet, clearing my throat. "So, we've come here because we're in charge of preparing dinner tonight. Any new suggestions?"
Pierre just smirked. -
(I like it; it reminds me of Carlisle.)
I grinned in response. -
(Exacty why I wanted you to listen! :D)
"Yes, yes... On the back wall there. All of my newest concoctions." -
*Pierre said.
-
I nodded, walking towards where he directed.
