I smiled, biting my lip. "I've been wanting to give you something..." I looked up, clutching something in my hand." -

I glanced up at her, meeting her gaze. "Yes?" -
Rebekah
I held out my hand, opening it, and revealed a beautiful silver ring with a ruby red jewel in the middle. "It was my uncle's... he said to give it to the one I loved..." I smiled heartily. -
Cole
I gasped, gazing at the ring in her hand. "I couldn't possibly take that from you, Rebekah..." -
Rebekah
"No... Its yours... I love you, and... I don't know what I could do without you." The jewel sparkled in the sunlight. -
Cole
I held her face lovingly. "I love you too, Rebekah." -
Rebekah
I kissed him lightly, and slipped the ring on one of his fingers. -

I smiled and looked down at the ring on my finger. "You know I'll never take it off, right?" -

I smiled back. "Even better." -
Cole
My eyes flickered up to hers, holding her gaze for a few moments. "I've been meaning to ask you something... But I haven't had the time to... But, seeing as we have a while..." I trailed off, waiting for her approval. -
Rebekah
"Yes?" I looked at my hands, and then back to Cole. -
I grinned nervously. "I know this probably won't appeal to you in any way whatsoever... But there's a formal dance just around the bend, and I was wondering if you'd let me be your escort?"

I smiled. "Of course!"

._. Damn, I'm sorry for leaving. I have to read an entire novel for tomorrow; it's a bit torturous. Horribly written, at least from my point of view; though I see bits and pieces of myself in the main character, so it's not too shabby.

My heart thudded loudly in my chest. "Really... That's wonderful. I was going to say that I'd pick you up at seven, but that really won't be an issue, will it?" I chuckled a bit.
