I furrowed my brow. She sounded... off. Frightened. "Are you alright?" I asked through the door. -
Rebekah
"Yeah..." I lied, giving a smile. -
Cole
I wasn't so sure that she was telling the truth, but I let it slide. "Okay, I'll see you in a bit, then." -
Rebekah
"See you." I went into the bathroom, and took a shower, blow dried my hair, and got dressed into the uniform again. -
I arranged some fresh fruit in a bowl at the center of the kitchen table. I tweaked the positioning of the various fruit until it looked perfect.
Like this, only larger. And with more variety. -
Rebekah
I went downstairs and saw Cole's fruit bowl. My jaw dropped. "Wow.." was all escaped from my mouth. -
Cole
I glanced up, stepping back from the bowl. "Oh, you like it? I was just wasting some time," I smiled. -
Rebekah
"It looks like it took hours.." -
Cole
I shook my head and shrugged. "About five or six minutes is all. Feel free, they're for breakfast," I gestured towards the fruit. -
Rebekah
"I could never devour such a masterpiece.." I shook my head. -
Cole
I smiled and chuckled. "It's no masterpiece. Go ahead. I can always redo it." -
(Gotta go, dinner.)

I sighed and smiled, taking an apple. -

I watched her eat the apple, glancing at the clock once or twice. Ten minutes until we have to leave.
