Cole
I pushed through the brush until I reached a hidden area surrounded by trees. It was my favorite place to be alone. I sat down on the cold grass, leaning back on my elbows. I stared up that the clear sky. The sun had begun to set.
Destiny
I pulled the car into the driveway and headed inside. "I'm home," I called as I shut the front door behind me. "I have food, too." -
Rebekah
I soon woke up, and looked around. I picked up Cole's note, reading his beautiful writing. I sighed, and shoved it into my pocket, biting my bottom lip with much strength.
Carlisle
I finally finished my homework, hearing Mom call. -
Cole
I sighed, closing my eyes. A lot had happened today... More than I had bargained for.
Destiny
I placed the bags of groceries on the kitchen counter, sighing. "Anyone home?" -
Rebekah
"I am." I smiled.
Carlisle
I ran down the stairs. "So am I." -
Destiny
I grinned. "Oh, good! Now you two can help me make some dinner!" I took out some of the groceries. "Now, we have two choices. Mexican, or Italian?" -
Rebekah
"Italian would be nice."
Carlisle
"Yeah, what Rebekah said." -
Destiny
I smiled and gathered up the various ingredients for the Italian dish. "Italian it is." -
Rebekah
I smiled, and followed Destiny towards the kitchen. -
Cole
I sat up, blinking a bit. I squinted up at the sunset. It was gloriously bright. After admiring it for a bit I stood up and made my way back to the house, cheating a bit with my powers to get there sooner. I usually tried not to use them... But I sensed a plan that I didn't exactly like.
Destiny
"Okay, this is a first for me... Carlisle, can you and Rebekah take care of the pasta and vegetables? I'll prepare the meat..." I took the raw chicken out of its packaging.
This cooking thing looks pretty easy, don't you think Carlisle? -
Rebekah
I nodded, and started boiling the pasta, as I handed Carlisle the vegetables. I heard Cole come near the house, and suddenly my face lit up.
Carlisle
Mhm. I started cutting and boiling the vegetables. -
Cole
I entered through the back door, walking through the living room and into the kitchen. I stood in the doorway for a while, going unnoticed. I watched everyone prance around the kitchen, attempting to cook.
Destiny
I cut the chicken the way the packaging instructed and lightly seasoned it with basil and rosemary before popping it in the oven.
Make you move, I mentally grinned. Before Cole comes back. -
Rebekah
I pretended like Cole wasn't there, watching the pasta, hoping it wouldn't burn.
Carlisle
I sighed deeply, and saw Rebekah having trouble. "Lemme help you with that." I grabbed her hand, helping her stir the pasta. -
Cole
I flinched when Carlisle held her hand. A pang of jealousy ran through me. I wanted to burst in and fling him off of her... But I had to give him the benefit of the doubt. He might be, after all, just helping her.
Destiny
I poured a can of tomato sauce into a pot and set it to simmer on the stove top.
