"I just came from there." I finished my soda.
-
"Well," I said. Then the bell rang, so I stood up and smiled at Zenna. "See you later." I said, and rushed off to Literature.
-
"Bye." I hurried off to English.
-
I looked around and saw no one watching, so I slipped out the front doors and hurried down the road. I was bored of school, so I skipped. It's as simple as... that.
-
I stopped by my locker, the hall was almost empty. I'm not giving the details, but thanks to some of the idiots at this school, I ended up in a dumpster outside instead of English class. I climbed out, grumbling.
-
I walked past the houses and went into town. I had to get a book from the book store. I was dieing for one.
-
I sighed. It was better to just ditch than to go back in and explain. I started walking off to who-knows-where.
-
I searched for the book store, but I came to a closed place. It had a sign, over the door, that read:
Perry's Books has been closed. For good. Sorry for the inconveinonce. Signed, Mayor Konag. I opened my mouth as if to say something. I was speechless. -
I ended up in a park. Not my preferred place. Oh well. I sat on the branch of a tree, watching little kids play on a playground while their mothers in their late twenties chatted.
-
I sighed and looked around the town. There was the park, the cafe, and McDonalds'. I went into the cafe and ordered a tall black coffee with whipped cream. I had to have something sweetish, gosh.
-
I looked at the sky. When I was younger I could actually see things in the clouds. Today I saw blobs.
-
I payed the lady at the counter and walked out. I headed for the park. To swing a bit, maybe. I haven't swung in six long years.
-
Two little girls were lying in the grass, making daisy chains. I still remembered how to make them. I looked at my fingernails. They'd be sharp and long enough.
-
I sat on a swing and puched myself off the ground, with a coffee in hand. I could feel someone looking at me. I looked back and it was just a mother, watching me with a gentle look on her face. She had to be close to thirty. If not, twenty-five, at least.
-
I noticed someone, not a kid. Oh, it was Olivia. Weird that we'd both ditched. I ignored it and continued to watch the girls. They were making them wrong.
