Yay! Now we can begin.
I stood, leaning over the porch railing of the abandoned cabin in the woods. It was the middle of the night, and no moonlight could get in through the tall trees. Utterly perfect. -

Jasmine woke up from dreams of summer love, the taste of honey suckles and the smell of fresh apple blossoms after a light rain. She rolled out of bed and threw on a pair of jeans and a t shirt and said to herself "if only my life was more like my dreams" and sighed , grabbed her bag and walked out the door. -

Mina looked to the stars, out her window in her regular old small town. The night was overwhelming her, and she couldn't sleep. She was hungry.

My wings tingled. They'd fallen asleep. I walked off the porch and into the woods. I couldn't unfold my wings there, the space between the trees was thin. I kept walking, until I came to the cliff I'd landed on a few days ago. I looked down, felt the wind softly blowing through my hair, and threw myself off the cliff. I unfurled my wings and smiled as I flapped them in the cold night air.

I flew down and landed in a tree. There was a human campground nearby; I didn't want to be seen.
