I knew they weren't human now. What were they? I closed my eyes for a moment. Vampires! I started running from the graveyard, and once I was out from under the trees, I unfurled my wings and threw myself into the air.

I turned, watching as the winged creature flew off. Now, why would she fly away? I sensed danger, so I followed her, flying after her.

I flapped my wings, trying to get higher into the sky. Once I was about thirty feet up, I hovered and looked down at the vampires for a second. Then I turned and flew away, beating my wings quickly.

I immediately realized that the winged creature was in fact an angel. I was skeptical about following her, but thought it would be safe. So, I continued, flying beside her.
