Maria ran to her last class of the day: Math. She quickly opened the door and walked in. Mr. Weekly was already teaching and he stopped and stared at Maria.
"Ms. Renolds, you are late again." He said.
"Im so sorry, Mr. Weekly!" She said, finding a seat in the back. -
Dylan sat in the back of the last row, not really paying attention to the math teacher. He was drawing on the side of his notebook.

I sat in English class next to the window. I heard someone out the window. Ms. Renolds is late again... Ms. Renolds is late again... I smiled a bit at the birds chirping in the tree. I turned my attention back to the blackboard.

Maria took out her iPod and pulled up her hoodie. She turned on her iPod and placed her music list on shuffle. Mr. Weekly was droning on and on about numbers.

At the end of class, Dylan got up and headed to his car, glad school was over.
