When I was at the shoe store today this guy was being all nice and trying to find "good" shoes for me and my mom was all like "Oh get that get that" and the guy was spending his time on me and I got so mad at my mom and I had no clue what I was doing until I shouted how much I hated all these shoes :/ and the guy like went silent and my mom was apologizing to him and when we left the store my mom told me I wasn't a baby anymore to whine like that and ugh :/

I hate to say bad things about my parents, but my mom gets butthurt really easily.
As in I'll just say something very normal, and she'll go "FINE! I guess I'm not allowed to talk!" and gives me the silent treatment.
It used to make me feel guilty when I was 8. Now it just annoys me. -
If only my mom gave me the silent treatment..
