He lay pale and cold. His heart, reluctant to continue on, died out, leaving him lifeless.

I went back into the bathroom. Forget Lassie, Poppy was better. I nudged him, feeling his hand. It was growing cold. I felt for his pulse with my paw. Yep, he was dead. And he smelled like beer. Ew.

The party ended; and the host walked into the bathroom. "s---..." he called 911.

I stared up at the other person. "Uh..."

You like? Amien asked the girl. -
"Wow" Ginger said. "That's awesome."

"No way. This freaking cat's talking to me... That pot must've been the good stuff..." The paramedics arrived and took the body out on a stretcher, covered with a white sheet.

Amien turned back into a human. Both transitions took less than a minute.
"Are you stuck like that?" She asked. -
I hissed. "What, never seen a talking cat in your life?" I jumped out the window and ran off before he could reply or the paramedics could see me.
