  Peyton's eyes widen.
  "Nothing, Alex. It's.. nothing. Don't worry about it. Now lay back down and prop your leg up so the blood will flow back through your leg." A tear escaped Peyton's eye. Though, she quickly wiped it away.

  Peyton narrowed her eyes.
  "Fine. My mom... she left us. I don't know why. She just left today. Now lay back down." She could feel the lump in her throat widening. Not now, not now... She told herself.
  "But, um. Do you want anything to drink or eat?" She hated how that came out. Croaked. Weak. Angry and sad.

  Peyton shook her head.
  "It's not worth it, though. She's not going to come back if I just cry and beg. Crying is just something to do when your bored. It's not going to help anything. Now are you hungry or thristy? We have food, or I can make you something." Peyton stood, waiting for him to say he's hungry so she could make something to get her mind off of things.

  She nodded and headed for the kitchen. She took out the crisps from the fridge. (I've never heard of Crisps. XD Do you heat it up?)

  Peyton grabbed the chips/crisps from the pantry and walked back to Alex.
  "Here you go." She handed Alex the chips and sat back down in the easy chair.
