Believe it or not, everyone trusts eachother like a family. Some more than others.
The only time we're vicious is if your opinion is unwanted and rudely expressed.
I'be been here since '09, i watched everything change like a rollar coaster.
the vast majority of the users are like family. the ones that are not are probably new. We're all social outcasts. we post whatever and whenever and we understand each other. -
If it's not too much trouble, Carri04, could you specify an 'unwanted' opinion?

you burst in and say they shouldn't be asking there.
everyone will FLAME you because all she was doing was asking for help. and you tell her to get help elsewhere when we're all ready to help someone. we'd help you too if you needed it. don't ask someone to shut up, even if it's done politely, it doesn't hurt any less. that's basically what it looked like.
and call me Carri :P
another thing is that GTQ is kinda xenophobic, we've had a lot of new people come in and be complete a--holes and act like they own the place, so it's hard for us to like new people unless they prove to be genuinele unass-holey. -
but if people start attacking you although you're being nice, we WILL step in and help you. it's not a one way round thing.

I'm sorry if you interpreted it that way, but I honestly wasn't trying to be offensive towards anyone.
If I'm not mistaken, I think I was a 'Newbie' when I posted that comment and was unsure of the format. I didn't realise the format/nature of the site was like a family/friendship where advice/support e.t.c. was given out. I didn't know it was every and everything users' posted.
I interpreted the forum aspect of this site as simply beginning a thread on a topic or issue, posting a comment, and maybe replying to one or two. It was quite simply, hopefully understood, ignorance from a Newbie. Admittedly, my opinion could have been expressed a lot more considerately.
Nonetheless, a sincere thank you for your reply and for not swearing at me. :) -
Understood, I'm sorry we were so rude to you xD it's just lil is kind of a respected user and we're so used to helping people's problems...and we're just a bit hostile towards newbs unfortunately ._. this site's pretty different from most so we should have explained first instead of yelling at you
