I stared in. The girl called out. Wasn't it my job to help the birds if they were injured? I walked in, sighing.

Orphia blinked as she called back, and watched another member walk in. Well, if there was a poor helpless bird in there that needed help....she'd help. She followed.

The bird, er girl, er creature struggled, the chains cutting into her. It looked as if shed fallen and gotten stuck after hatching.
Pur was working on untangling the chains. -
I started untangling the chains with the other member. The chains were cutting into the creature. I stared at it and spoke quietly. "Hey, don't struggle, or I'll have more work to do later."

Orphia worked slowly to untangle the chains, looking over the best way not to hurt her.

The creature watched them with red eyes.
Pur sighed in relief as the chains slipped off. The creature toppled to the ground.
"Oh yeah...sorry, forgot, baby birds can't fly." -

I slipped the last of the chains off. I looked at the other two members. "Well, do either of you know what it is?"

I shook my head, looking the poor thing over with sympathetic eyes.

"It looks...humanish..."Pur said, and the creature stood up. It had human feet, with pointed claws. Wings and arms. It wore a dress of feathers. It had thick tail feathers.

"Well, I'm going to go ask. They might know, so I won't have to treat the scratches on it without knowing its species." I turned around and walked away, heading to the offices.

"It's pretty." Orphia said.

Jun, the head of all research, the boss, sat looking through the papers, biting her lower lip. "Its...not what we expected..."she muttered.
Pur kneeled down, and the creature looked at her. It was the size of a toddler. -
I walked into the office, not bothering to knock. "WHAT IS that THING that just hatched out of that egg? Don't expect me to take care of it if it gets hurt! I've had enough with all of your experiments, I can't take this, too!"
They were used to my temper.
