The sub paused the movie. "I'll let you go to your lockers early. Have a nice weekend." The class was dismissed.

"Now we can get going."

He stood up and offered his hand. "My house or yours?" he asked as they headed to their lockers.

"Mine. My brother's away so we can get on his computer."

He smiled and slung his backpack over his shoulder. "Perfect."

He followed with his bag.

They cut across the park, taking the short way to Nikki's house.

"We'll have fun, ja?" He took his hand.

He smiled, his hand in his. "Definitely."

He took out his keys and opened the door. "He won't be home till 6. Then he leaves again at 9."
