Reason for name: The first thing she ever saw was a butterfly when she and her mother were outside their tent

Place in tribe: Cheif's granddaughter
Other: Was loved by most in the clan, but was often shunned because of her hideous face. When she was young, her tent caught fire. The right side of her face was burnt, and her mother died. She was also shunned because her father was the warrior of the enemy tribe.

A normal day in ancient egypt...

Erm okie.
"Kat!"Sekhmet incarnate called. Kat raced to the temple, wearing a thin and pretty golden white linen dress, holding a gold candle.
"Coming goddess!"Kat said, setting the candle down in the nook, and walking to the bed in the room, and bowing to the goddess possessed woman. -
I carried the small pile of logs and placed them beside the fireplace, ready to be burned for supper. Food was plentiful this season, we were very lucky, my family and I. My mother was clearing a fish of its scales. My father and brother were out in the city, selling their goods. I always wanted to come with them, but a womans job was to stay at home. Everyone knew that. No one dared question it.

Karas breathed heavily after the hours she's spent training for the day, under the hot sun. Her mother stared at her, seeming disappointed.

Aponi practiced the "Dance of the Spirits" in her tent, mask on so she could get used to the limited vision. It was her first solo, and she was rather nervous. For she knew that if she didn't perform perfectly, she would be shunned from the entire tribe. It was like a warrior earning his place by enduring the snake poison.

"Thank you"Sekhmet said, and Katrina stood up.
"You may go.."The woman said, and Katrina nodded, walking out silently. When she got outside she broke into a run, looking over her shoulder.
Sure enough, one of the young warriors who had a crush on her followed, and he knocked her to the ground, grinning.

I rushed for another load of branches. This one last load should be enough. I placed it by the fireplace and decided to check on the animals in the small barn near the fields.
