I found my thoughts drifting wherever the wind took them; school, through family issues, through my love life. Ha, I have no love life. I thought to myself. -
My little sister, Jensen, ran into the room.
"Izzy! Please don't cry-" I half twisted her neck, not killing her, just temporarily cutting off her supply of oxygen. I didn't need pity. I didn't need anything in this world anymore. -
"Nic!" my father called. "Get your tux on and do your hair up nice. We're going to that boy's wake tonight." I strolled inside and headed up to my room, starting to get dressed.

Jensen ran out, but came back in with mom a few minutes later.
"Iskra, I know how hard this year has been for you, but try to not take it out on her sister, okay?" I nodded. -
I looked in the bathroom mirror, tying my tie. I toussled my hair a little bit with my hands, making it have that messed-up-but-formal look.
