basically this is an alternate society. everyone has a computer chip installed in their palm when they are born. as you get older, it gets permanently embedded into the tissue. the problem is, there are certain people who want to rebel against this society called The Others. these people know what the government is doing (they are usually people who have been converted during their lifetime, not born with the chips) to the people and how they are controlling them through the chips. no opinions are tollerated. if you rebel, you are killed or sacrificed. we can kind of build off of that as we go but that's the gist. so you can be a regular citizen who discovers the truth and joins The Others, and original Other, or a state authority. :3
