Skyler ran along the beach. And into the water. She ran in till she was waist deep and then dived in. The cold water soaking her hair. She swam down to about ten feet deep and laid down on the sand. -
Her stomach clenched when another person walked past and finally couldn't take it any more and left w/o buying a book

A few fish swam by and her fangs automatically extended. She was starving. She swam up and drifted back to the shore. She ran from one end of the beach to the other, her clothes were dry but not her hair. She ran through the forest. Her hair was still wet though. She got to the city because she couldn't find any prey in the forest. She smells another vampire. And something else. Salt? The tips of her ears pointed. Her scences heightened. She walked after the scent. Trying to be discreet.
