everyone has their person. someone who will always choose them, and someone who will always be chosen by them
i had that person
i had those people before i was stupid and messed everything up, and now she’s gone and i’m gone, and i’m stuck having to redefine myself as if people have one simple definition they can be defined by -
people don’t have a simple definition the can be defined by. people are complex creatures and they’re constantly changing. even the person you think you are now isn’t the same as the person you were yesterday. nobody ever stays the same, not even the most routine individuals

and i have this deep, heavy feeling in my heart that feels somewhere along the lines of regret, sorrow, sadness, and pain, and i know i deserve it and i know it’s just an obstacle i need to get past

i have good talents. i have good qualities. i’m nice to other people. i’m always there for others when i can be. that leads me to wonder what i’m missing if i can’t even convince a person to stay

You can't be friends with everyone. People change and you do too. Needs, times, interests. It all changes. Sometimes things don't work out because they're not meant to be. Just be yourself, keep an open mind to change, but don't reinvent yourself just to get someone's attention or approval.
