To start off, when giving an assignment, this teacher likes to be as vague as humanly possible.
So, the whole class tries to press her for more details. Except every single word that then comes out of her mouth makes the assignment exponentially more confusing.
So you have to try and read her mind. But since you can't do that, you need to make a wild guess at what she wants and hope for the best.
What I knew was that it was a 5-page essay about what we learned about certain parenting styles and the affects on the children. We also had this list of 12 work skills, where we had to go through the essay and put where we used each one and why.
So I write my paper and turn it in on time. On the last day, she grades it, and she wants me to organize the work skills differently with more detail.
I'm frustrated, but I start on it. I'm almost done when she calls me over again and basically tells me I have to redo it because she wanted a reflective paper, not an informational paper.
She couldn't have told me that in the first place?!
"I want your thoughts," she says.
"Those are my thoughts."
"That's not what it looks like here."
"I didn't just write a seven page essay using only the data I was given and nothing of what I thought about it." (I ended up writing seven pages instead of five.)
I knew that was kind of snippy, but I was trying to not redo the essay on the freakin last day of school.
I still had to redo the essay. I was going to have to come in for summer school for this stupid thing.
Except, she wasn't going to be there for the first week of it.
So, she organized that another teacher was going to look over it in her stead, and she gave him a couple of the essays she liked for reference.
So I did it that night, just the way she told me to. Come summer school, the other teacher looked it over. I had to change one little thing, but otherwise he said it was really good. He signed me out of the class and I thought I was good to go.
Today, a week later, I get a notification from the teacher who was gone.
"Please identify where you utilized each of the skills with the comment boxes as discussed previously. Within the comment boxes, please explain your choice with a description of why you chose the skill and how you applied the skill to the reflection example."
I DID
I DID
WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME
JUST LET ME BE DONE -
Omg what

You should probably have your parents talk to her, at this point.
-
Bro…. how tf did they hire her as a teacher?
^ Yeah, she sounds really unfair. Your parents need to talk to her because this can’t keep going on, especially since you’ve worked hard on your work. -
I'm going to do it one more time and if that doesn't work I'll ask my parents. I feel like I'm right there, so I might as well try and fix it one more time.
If third time isn't the charm, then I'll have my parent's talk to her.
I'm praying I don't have this teacher next year -
Can I also strangle this maniac
-
Or if she doesn't like it I'll just be done and get half credit. I don't need that particular credit anyway, but it would be useful.
-
Sure, that way I don't get the blame lol
-
Nevermind, my parents aren't letting me take half credit.
-
she sounds like a smelly, i hate teachers like that
u've been rlly respectful it sounds, should probs talk to a more authoritative figure than the teacher like a principal or school counselor about her and give sum info bc chances are other students have likely had the same problem -
No, you should get a full credit. You worked hard for it. Even if you don’t need it, you worked for it and you SHOULD get it because you put in the effort.
Denis, I’m joining you with strangling the teacher, but I’m bringing a chainsaw. -
What if I just "accidentally" turn it in too late for her to give me a grade on it?
