I believe that Byleth is autistic. Even after he is able to show emotions because Sothis is awake, Byleth is still not easily read and is unaware of how other see him.

On that note, the other night, I was Byleth-posting and in my own little world when Brandan and I were trying to hang out. I felt kind of bad later because I was just blissfully oblivious about much of what was otherwise going on. Luckily, he knows me well, by now. 😅
