The room is dim, as it is dark outside. A lit candle sitting on the table and a weak light positioned above the sink are the only things illuminating the space. All the same, the air feels warm as the oven preheats. I sip at my hot cup of coffee, sitting alone at the kitchen table. I'll be up as late as I can stay awake, just in case someone needs me. Or am I just hoping a visitor will come and keep me company?
Hi everyone! It's been a while, and I know there are a lot of new kids around. I have a few names, which I'm happy to give you if you don't already know them. I volunteered a while back to be everyone's dad, in case they didn't already have one in their life or the one they did have was less than stellar. Or maybe they just wanted a bonus dad. Who am I to judge? I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm still here, still queer, and still dad. If you're already one of my kids, stop in and say hi some time! If you're not, but want to be, you're also welcome! (lowkey I forgot who all of my kids are rip)
