my dad's girlfriend keeps pulling some weird f---ing show of dominance type s---. she told me only one of us could go with him, "and it's gonna be me" were her exact words. she didn't even ask me how I felt. I would have been fine with letting her be the one to accompany him- she's known him longer and I need to stay with my girlfriend anyway, but the way she didn't even entertain the option of me getting to be with my dad right now just really pissed me off. then, after the surgery, the nurse came to me and started telling me about his condition and what room he was in. his girlfriend cut her off to say "no, no, you're supposed to be talking to me" and I think I'm just about done with that woman.
