oh shoot im soz to hear that, that sounds like a rlly huge invasion of privacy, especially considering ur like one year away from being an adult, right?
maybe u should try discussing with her that it’s a violation of your privacy and that if she expects you to respect her privacy, she should respect yours. ive gone through a somewhat similar scenario so i can sympathize, but im not sure if your mom is as understanding as mine was -
Ive tried
She wont listen -
bro what she think u doing? starting world war three, posting aesthetic images of nikocado avocado to pinterest, and encouraging putin to nuke everyone? 💀 goofy
that sounds rlly stressful tho, im rlly sorry you’re going through that. some parents unfortunately are just straight susies that won’t listen to their childs :( do you have anywhere else to talk to your friends or is it noe exceptions every platform?
im not the best at giving advice since im just words integrated on a screen along with a chair resembling these words manifested into personality, so maybe you should try speaking to a trusted adult about the situation and getting advice other than your mom, such as your dad (if you can), a school counselor, or some other adult
situations like these are rlly tough and i hope u get through it. again im so sorry you’re having to go through this stress, feel free to lmk if i can help 💛 -
I love my mom
And i know she loves me
Shes doing it not to be nosey she just wants to know im safe
I didnt grow up using Internet so its new to her -
that makes more sense, im glad to hear she’s just making sure you’re being safe then. it’s just less than a year and then you have legal rights, right?
so susie isn’t a term to describe her, just overprotective. this is much easier to sympathize because i grew up with overprotective parents, and im still growing up with them. they used to monitor my socials until i showed them that they could trust me because i never posted or said anything bad on the socials i used
monitoring socials usually stems from a means of the parents thinking that their child is doing something they’re not supposed to be doing. so maybe for now just let her monitor to build trust :]
i really hope things get better bro, gl 🤞 -
Thank you

You said quiet a lot in that thread in the Garden, and I do agree. I thought you were an atheist, though.

@strife, i started listening to my mum more when she was talking about her experiences with god
i wanna say im christian but at the same time i wanna say im atheist. like its kinda confusing but rn i jus say im atheist because i dont think christians question their faith -
Hey how are you
-
I just wanted to say that it's natural for us to question everything. Questioning your faith doesn't make you a bad Christian. It means you're willing to learn more and have a clearer understanding. The misconceptions that Christians aren't allowed to question their faith often leads them to not ask questions and decide to give up on it because they're afraid they'll be looked down on. While I have to say some do shame others for being uncertain, the Christian community isn't like that as a whole, and just like anything else, the only way to learn is to ask questions if you don't understand or you're not sure. Also, there is no specific culture Christians have, if that's something else that bothers you.
Just wanted to make sure I clarified, and thank you for explaining. -
late post so soz 😭 rip\

the weather looks like its plotting to revoke the contents of everyone's wallets for insurance cuz it's wild af rn but id say im chill rn, tytyty :]
hbu ?? how's life? 👀
@strife, i appreciate the insight on it from a different perspective. i grew up learning virtues that 'christians stand firm in god's faith no matter the cause, whether they be beheaded or turned to ashes, they stand steadfast in His word' which always made me turn away from that since i thought that God was a rlly bad father for letting all his supposed earthly children suffer just to rebuke others and spread the gospel. i only recently started learning after i started questioning my mum ablittle bit more. learning that God isn't rlly in control (but He is, it's complicated but like He gave us all freewill so WE control what happens on earth but he controls it too, like he could step in at any time if that makes sense. but he's not like the bad guy) rlly helped me question my virtues a bit more, but at that time i felt on the verge between atheist and christian. it was basically 'i know there's a God but i dont know if his morals are right'. i still feel kinda stuck but thank you for clarifying and explaining, i appreciate it a lot :]
