I think my jade plant is immortal.
I never water it, maybe once every like six or eight months, one time I didn't water it for two years
It's still alive and growing. -
So I guess my question is how is this thing still alive?!
-
found this on google 🕶✨
As with all succulents, jade plants are drought resistant, making them perfect for busy people who don't always remember to water. This trait allows them to survive in their naturally dry and arid habitat, where they go for long periods of time without getting any moisture. -
This makes sense
I was seeing things that said 1-3 months and I was shocked -
Humidity
-
If your plant Is in a humid area, it doesn’t need to be watered as much
-
The earth absorbs the water and disperses it over time
-
Are you positive it isnt plastic
-
XD Yes it actually made baby jade plants a year ago and there's definitely new growth on the branches. Also it is kind of wrinkled because I haven't watered it.
-
Nah bro don't listen to them your plant is just immortal
Just kidding lol, some plants have different water requirements and depending on your environment (such as humidity) it can go for a while without water! Although eventually it will begin to show signs of dehydration, in which case you can just hydrate that sucker and be on your way -
My great grandmother gave out jade plants to lots of family members bc of how they're said to bring good luck and none of those jade plants given out to any of them have been able to die through all these years
So maybe it's just their good luck 😉
jk. They're v resistant plants
