Thread Topic: If anyone's online could you help me out
-
I didn't want to put this in my main thread but I need support rn
I think I'm experiencing audiovisual hallucinations and I don't feel safe -
Definitely take a break from whatever you're doing and lie down
-
It's been a long time since I've had any but I have experienced these kinds of hallucinations in the past in conjunction with disturbed sleep and stress.
-
I found this online:
Focus your attention on a distracting activity such as reading, singing, listening to music, gardening, or exercising. Talk back to the voices: Challenge them and insist that they go away. Manage your levels of stress and anxiety. Ensure that you are getting enough sleep. -
Thank you quiz that's really helpful. I locked myself in my car and I'm going to take some time to just decompress and eat something.
Psychotic episodes are so scary. I genuinely feel so unsafe and nothing makes sense. -
I personally have never experienced this but it sounds really scary and I'm sorry you have to go through this. I'm going to keep looking online
-
I want to make it clear though that I'm not crazy. I'm not schizophrenic. I'm just tired and sick
-
I understand
You're stronger than them -
Thank again quiz. I really appreciate it.

When did the voices start? Do you know?
-
Also found online: how do I stop auditory hallucinations? This can be a passive diversion, for example watching television, listening to music, using headphones or relaxation. Alternatively the distraction can involve activity such as playing an instrument, writing, reading, gardening, walking or any form of exercise.

I don't know how to help but I hope you feel better
Maybe drink a relaxing tea like mint or chamomile when you can and also before you go to sleep.
I know I always talk about tea but it works well for me and so I hope it works well for other people.
I really hope this passes soon -
Going to contact some people
-
Also I think you mentioned you play some instruments, so maybe as soon as you can play some music, it can help you relax and refocus.
-
Also, take a break from screens, it may induce hallucinations as well
Take a nap
