fun fact . in ‘supreme ruler’s coronation: OVERLORD’ (magolor soul’s theme in the true arena) you can hear magolor’s cries for help in the second loop of it in the jukebox . isn’t that so fun and silly!!!!!!!
you can also hear it when fighting magolor soul’s second phase in the true arena. in the first phase it just plays the star allies remix of C-R-O-W-N-E-D, without magolor’s voice in it. once you get to the second phase (the one after he throws you an apple and loses his top two eyes) that’s when you can hear him. it’s kind of faint but you can hear him saying ‘tasukete/help me’ and ‘kābyi/kirby’ . there’s a lot of other speculations as to what he’s saying but they’re all in japanese and on nico (japanese video site similar to youtube) and the only japanese word i can read is kirby LMAO. i can try to find some translated versions, cause i remember seeing some on tumblr -

of course magolor soul in the true arena isn’t the only time you can hear him in anguish LMAO you can actually hear him at the extra mode’s magolor soul. he screams kirby’s name a couple of times before turning back into his main form and FADING AWAY. MANS DEAD.
it’s also in the jukebox for some reason? “free… me… kirby…” idk why but if you ever want to hear the little critter screaming in pain… WELL THERE YOU ARE LOL
for whatever reason, there’s a version of it also in the jukebox where it’s like. the background noise of free me kirby . where he doesn’t scream. think of it as an instrumental lmao

in the true arena magolor soul fight, the pause screen also speaks from magolor’s point of view. is that the word? idk if it’s the crown making him say it or if it’s actually just him being pissed off but he says something like “Kirby… Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Let’s just see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can… hee hee heee… I just might get to toy with you again!”
i’m very unsure if it’s the crown or actually him cause on one hand i want to think of all the angst possibilities but on the other, i want my angry little egg. Little sassy egg.
but if it helps prove anything, one of the other pause screens (i believe it’s the one in magolor soul’s extra mode fight?) says something along the lines of ‘… He’s possessed by the limitless power of the crown… Take his hand, and save a *new friend!*’ i don’t exactly remember LMAO but i think with all of the other pause screens + lore to go along with it i think that it could go either way .(although, it probably is more likely to be the master crown talking for him)
especially since the only sort of control magolor has is to call for help in the background of OVERLORD, throw kirby a little apple to try and stop himself… um. Ya you can go either way actually. -
for context about the master crown-
basically it’s a little wee crown with a green gem in the middle (which i think looks like an eye) that gives you CRAZY power my boi. but for it to give u all that power you already have to be evil/darkness in ur heart or smth. magolor was already evil and that’s why it worked…
i remember one of his pause screens saying something along the lines of ‘Magolor had first heard of this item in a dusty tome. He thought it was a legend until he finally found it..’ or something. Idk lmao but he was like ‘god damn i have GOTTA get me some of them powers!’ cause he thought it would give him some good s--- idk
problem is that there’s a mf. FOUR HEADED DRAGON (which. can split into four different dragons) that has the crown and wants to beat the piss out of magolor cause he’s evil. you know how it is. they’re called landia and they already tried to attack magolor in the past but that little baby ran away to dream land… which he actually admits to in his monologue
”I fought Landia by myself and lost. So, I fled to Planet Popstar. That’s when the thought struck me… I could have you defeat Landia for me! A stroke of genius, I know.”
((he already had known about kirby before that, since in one of his dialogue strings he says something like ‘(something something, super tough puffball… already knew you)… In fact, I even know someone who knows you quite well!’))
so in the end he just kind of used kirby for his plan to kill landia and get the master crown. Honestly what a W.

basically the master crown in a tldr :
it gives you tons of power / same for the darkness in you or somehh th ing. problem is that is takes control of you and uses you for its own plans isn’t that fun!
actually, i saw a really good fan theory about the crown and magolor in the comments of a youtube video once.
it was something about the crown having the intent to turn magolor into a new dark matter ruler WHICH IS WHY HIS FINAL FORM HAS ONE EYE IN THE MIDDLE LIKE ZERO AND ZERO-TWO… ohhh my goddd there’s more to it but i literally forgot the rest💀💀
in the end when magolor is free from the crown’s clutches he goes to hell to repent for his sins! /j he actually goes to another dimension without all of his powers AND with a new outfit too.
then in the end he fights the manifestation of his own sins YAYYY
